Associate Professor
Degree in Chemical Sciences and PhD in Chemistry from the Rovira i Virgili University (URV), both with an Extraordinary Award. He is currently associate profesor at the URV, where he teaches in the field of Analytical Chemistry in bachelor's and master's degrees at the Faculty of Chemistry and the School of Chemical Engineering. His research focuses on chemometrics and different areas of machine learning with lines of research that include the design of experiments, multivariate and second-order calibration and data fusion. These methodologies find applications in food authentication, multivariate control of industrial processes (PAT) and catalysis, among others, resulting in more than 80 publications including scientific articles, book chapters and popular articles.
He is secretary of the academic committee of the doctoral programme in Chemical Science and Technology at the URV, a Fellow of IUPAC, and a member of the Catalan Society of Chemistry and the Spanish Society of Chemometry and Qualimetry.
